First Call For Papers

 

Date:    20th – 21st February 2003

Immediately following the 16th ASEG International Conference and Exhibition.

Place:  Adelaide, South Australia

Cost:   Approximately Aus$300 (US$175); discount for students

 

Invitation for Papers

 

Papers are invited in the areas of 3D EM modelling, inversion and applications relating to

earth science. In keeping with the Symposium theme “3D EM at Work”, the committee

particularly invites papers which demonstrate practical applications. Papers will be accepted

for verbal presentation and poster sessions.

 

Sessions are planned on applications of 3D EM to:

 

Mineral exploration                   Boreholes                                Petroleum

Crustal Studies             Environmental Studies   Other Novel Applications

 

Preference for verbal presentations will be given to papers discussing applications of 3D EM,

successful or unsuccessful. Purely theoretical papers are welcomed for presentation as a poster

and for inclusion in the conference volume.

Presenters will be notified by September 15th 2002 and will be required to provide a full paper

by December 1st 2002 and a copy of their verbal presentation with slides (preferably in Power

Point or as PDF) one week prior to the Symposium.

 

The committee plans to publish full proceedings of the Symposium on a CD including a

section of peer-reviewed papers in a format meeting academic guidelines for Research

Publications. Details will be provided in the near future.
